Cloud-Native Home Labs with IPv6

In this workshop, participants learn how IPv6 works in modern infrastructure, containers, and Kubernetes environments through hands-on exercises instead of theory-heavy networking lessons.

Developers, DevOps engineers, platform engineers, infrastructure engineers, and IT professionals interested in cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, self-hosting, and modern networking.

● IPv4 vs IPv6 in real-world infrastructure
● Understanding IPv6 addressing and subnetting
● Building a cloud-native home lab environment
● Secure SSH access and remote connectivity
● DNS and AAAA records in practice
● Firewall configuration and IPv6 security basics
● Docker and container networking with IPv6
● Introduction to Kubernetes dual-stack networking

Hands-on
Participants work in a preconfigured cloud-based lab environment with native IPv6 support. Throughout the workshop they configure IPv6 networking, expose services securely, deploy containerized applications, and troubleshoot real networking scenarios using Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes tooling.
