Learn how to apply the web content accessibility guidelines in design and development.

Are you aiming to please the European digital accessibility act? Or interested in making your website or application accessible but don’t know how? This course is for you.
Accessibility can be overwhelming if it is seen as a list of requirements without knowing what their purpose is. In this training, you will learn what accessibility means, who is it for and what are the legal requirements. You will also get a lot of practical information on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), how to design and implement content that complies with the guidelines, and how to evaluate your own work.

Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript).
After completing this course, you will be able to:
• describe the aim of web accessibility and main target groups
• identify the scope of legal requirements
• interpret the requirements of the WCAG
• apply accessibility techniques when designing and implementing web services and applications
• start evaluating your own work
