Sometimes the best way to learn is from people who share your interests. PROSA's networks bring IT professionals together to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and explore specialist topics.
Our networks cover everything from Linux, cyber security, and programming to working life, life after retirement, and other topics that matter to our members. Some groups have been meeting regularly for years, while others come together for a shorter period to focus on a specific technology or challenge.
You don't need to be an expert to take part. Curiosity, an interest in the topic, and a willingness to share knowledge are all you need.

There are different types of networks connected to PROSA. Some are official PROSA networks run by members, while others are independent professional communities organised by PROSA members that meet in our facilities.
What they all have in common is a shared passion for technology, professional development, and connecting people with similar interests.

PROSA can support you with meeting facilities, promotion, and practical guidance. Depending on the type of network and how it is connected to PROSA, we may also be able to help you find speakers and promote your events through PROSA's course and events calendar.
How to start a network
The first step is simply having an idea of what you want to bring people together around. You don't need to have a full year's programme planned or know everyone who might join.
Think about:
What topic will bring the network together?
Who would you like to connect with?
Will the network meet once or on a regular basis?
What could the first meeting be about?
Once you have an idea, get in touch with PROSA and we'll explore the possibilities together and help you take the next step.

I PROSAs lokaler har vi igennem de seneste 10+ år bygget et netværk op omkring funktionel programmering. Formatet er en talk, mingling før og efter, og for det meste ender vi på Ørsted Ølbar. Lokalerne er indbydende, ligger centralt og har udstyr, der virker hver gang.

Networks in your workplace
If you'd like to connect with other PROSA members at your workplace or within your industry, PROSA can help.
We can also provide legal advice to you and your colleagues on how to improve your working conditions, as well as support you in setting up a workplace club or staff association.
Women's Book Club
Love books and discovering new stories? Join our friendly Women's Book Club. We meet online to discuss the book we've been reading in an informal and relaxed setting, where conversations often go far beyond the pages of the book.
Electronics and Mechanics
The Electronics and Mechanics Network brings together anyone interested in design, electronics, mechanics, 3D printing, programming, Arduino, and related technologies. Everyone is welcome, from beginners to experienced makers, children to retirees. Join us for sandwiches, great company, and plenty of hands on geekery. We usually meet in Copenhagen, but members take part from across Denmark. Meetings are held every other Tuesday in odd numbered weeks.
Linux Network
Join PROSA's Linux Network. We usually meet on the last Thursday of each month to share our interest in Linux. Whether you're completely new to Linux or an experienced user, you're welcome to join. Whenever possible, we begin with a member presentation, followed by time to work on personal projects, exchange knowledge, help each other solve problems, or enjoy a good technical discussion.
Functional Programming Copenhagen
We are a community of functional programming enthusiasts, beginners, professionals, and researchers. Our goal is to encourage more software projects based on functional programming languages. We focus mainly on strongly typed languages such as F#, Scala, OCaml, and Haskell, while also exploring languages including Lisp, Erlang, Clojure, and Elixir. We meet at least 12 times a year to share knowledge and experiences.
Senior Network
PROSA's Senior Committee regularly organises events and networking activities for members aged 50 and over. Talks, excursions, and courses are listed in PROSA's course and events calendar and cover topics ranging from IT and technology to culture and issues relevant to later working life and retirement.

Coding Pirates
Coding Pirates PROSA International is the newest local Coding Pirates chapter and the first in Denmark to operate entirely in English.
Hosted by PROSA and supported by a dedicated team of volunteers, many of whom are PROSA members, the chapter gives children and young people the opportunity to explore coding through creativity, play, and collaboration.
About the chapter
Language: All activities are conducted in English.
Capacity: 20 to 30 children, with approximately one volunteer for every two to three participants.
Age group: Primarily 10 to 17 years, with flexibility depending on the individual child.

Focus: Activities vary by season and may include basic programming concepts, game development, robotics, and many other technology topics.
Why PROSA International?
This is the first Coding Pirates chapter in Denmark created specifically for English speaking children, whether they are Danish or from international families. The aim is to give expat families a welcoming place where children can learn coding while making friends and becoming part of a supportive community.
At PROSA International, coding is about much more than technology. It's about creativity, collaboration, and exploring new ideas together.

Parents need to create a profile on the Coding Pirates website and add their child to the waiting list.
