Asynchronous Programming (Session 1 of 4)

Session 1 – Foundations of Asynchronous Programming

In this first session, we establish the foundations needed to understand asynchronous programming in .NET. We explore the differences between synchronous and asynchronous execution and examine how processes, threads, and the .NET Thread Pool work together.
We then introduce Tasks and look at how they provide a higher-level abstraction for representing and managing asynchronous work.

Session 1
1 - Introduction, Processes and Threads
2 - Thread pool
3 – Tasks

Instructor: Tore Nestenius is an independent software consultant and trainer based in Helsingborg, Sweden. For the last 10 years, he has been training developers all around the world in software architecture, web security, OpenID-connect, C#/.NET and domain-driven design. When he is not teaching, he is mentoring and coaching developer teams all around Europe.

You must register for each session separately.
