Coding Pirates PROSA International is a reality. "The children love it. They are curious. They are creative. They think its fun and they want to learn coding. That’s why we started this chapter", Mirza Cirkinagic PROSA union secretary and chairman explains.

Coding Pirates PROSA International opened their doors this september for 10 young students to attend the first ever CPPI season.

The three girls and seven boys got a hands on introduction to the amazing world of coding.

Mirza Cirkinagic is a PROSA union secretary and also the chairman of Coding Pirates PROSA International.
He is also himself a father of 2 young children.

I don’t understand why a self declared digital nation such as Denmark has so little to offer children and young people when it comes to computerskills and building tech-communities. If the Danish government would do something about this it would be a win-win for everybody. The children love it. They are curious. They are creative. They think its fun and they want to learn coding. That’s why we started this chapter”, Mirza explains.

He continues:

“With the help of 10 amazing volunteers, we have decided to open the Coding Pirates PROSA International branch. The volunteers are a mix of PROSA members who already work with IT and other volunteers, such as parents and other Coding Pirates from some of the other local chapters. The reason why we are starting an international chapter is because there were no offers for children of foreigners. All other offers are in Danish. We want to help change that, so that everyone gets a chance. IT is a global community after all and most people in IT use English as the common language”.

Coding Pirates PROSA International has lessons every Thursday between 5-7 pm and the focus is on code understanding.
Initially, children will learn how to make fun and simple games via visually easy to understand coding blocks. Over time, the plan is to offer more services for different levels of experience.

If you are curious and would like to hear more or are interested in becoming part of the volunteer team at CPPI, reach out to Mirza.
