This course introduces the basics of Python 3. You will learn how to get started with Python. On this course you will be introduced to install all the required software tools to begin coding. You will learn about different data structures, strings, and lists. You will also learn to create your own functions in Python as well as conditional execution and iteration as control structures. Moreover, you will learn about local and global variables, optional and keyword parameter-passing, recursive functions and nested loops.
During the course you will get hands-on programming practice using IDE/Editor of your choice. The course has no prerequisites.
Course material and installation guides will be provided in English.

About Instructor
Muniba Talha is a lecturer in Business Economics and IT at Copenhagen School of Design and Technology (KEA) where she teaches Data Science, Machine Learning, Data Visualization, and Big Data along with some courses on Project Management, Digital Strategy, and Digitalization. Prior to this position, Muniba worked in Project and Team lead positions delivering robust software products and developing agile teams.
Muniba is passionate about empathetic leadership, community building, diversity, and inclusion. She is the founder of Women in Data Science and Machine Learning, a community open to everyone but particularly supporting, educating, and empowering the women in this field.
